Here comes 2009 and President Obama; let us be pleased for so many things of 2008
We can be pleased that Barack Obama was so brilliant that he would not allow the media to make the presidential campaign about race.
We can be very pleased that Black folk did lay so low that the media could not find even a house nigger to embarrass Obama or Black folk generally. Even the hired hands in the entertainment industry were too blocked in that even for pay the media could not find a fool to make stereotypical racist implication out of this campaign.
We can be pleased that the so called “civil rights leaders” were able to keep busy in Africa and elsewhere to avoid getting involved in hurting Obama.
We can be pleased that Fox TV failed to make anything negative out of the Jessie Jackson remarks about Obama. In fact, Fox TV helped Obama by showing that Jessie Jackson who many Americans hate was not on the same page or same ideology as Obama.
We can be pleased that our prayers were answered in that Obama did not get hurt by some crazy in the many crowds that he ventured into during the campaign.
We can be pleased that American of all stripes showed restraint and allowed the campaign to stay on message. I mean ALL AMERICAN CAN BE PLEASE ABOUT HOW WE GOT BEYOND THE RACE OF OBAMA AND THAT KEPT THE CRAZIES UNDER CONTROL.
We can be pleased that the Clintons were not able to insert race anymore than they did in the primaries and later that it did not damage Obama. We can be pleased that the Clintons did get on board after they saw that Obama was going to win. Even late is sometimes something to which we can be pleased.
And finally, we need to all get on board to make Obama’s presidency the most effective presidency in recent history. WE CAN DO IT! YES
