President Bush is
stinking up the place on the way out.
Written July

been revised since this date.
The masterful way that Bush can keep a straight face and lie like a dog is what corporate America saw in him when they selected him to rise from Governor of Texas to be President. This man is good at smiling and picking your pockets at the same time. Even now, in spite of his less than 25% approval rating and even though he is on his way out, President Bush is still doing his thing. Bush is now using that same innocently stupid looking face to make like he is cooperating with Obama while he is stinking up the place. The corporate media, CNN, Fox, ABC, CBS, CNBC, NBC, and all the rest are acting like they believe him even though they know better. The media outlets are putting out stories of "how gracious President Bush is towards Obama;" how President Bush is doing everything he can to make sure that there is a smooth transition;" and "how everyone is keeping President Elect Obama fully informed." The truth is far different and more importantly the media knows better. If we and the media all know what a liar the Bush Administration has been about the war, about firing of U.S. Attorneys, and about many other things, why are these media outlets acting like he is telling the truth now.
?President Bush is stinking up the place in many foreign countries as well to try to force President Elect Obama to get bogged down with military matters of cooperate America’s choice. I ask you, do you believe for a minute that some renegade group of folk off the coast of Somalia are hijacking ship without CIA or someone similar organization's help? This could be the groundwork to start military actions in Africa. The hope Bush and his folk is that military actions around the world will keep money going to arms manufacturers and security forces like Black Water. Black Water, as you know, is an organization of mercenaries that get no-bid contracts to provide security at five times the cost of the U.S. military. Black Water also ships illegal arms and launders money that probably ends up back in politicians pockets. Bush and his Republicans are trying to get the "Don't ask don't tell" controversy going again just to bog Obama down with the more inconsequential matters. Bush is entering into long term contracts with governments around the world in spite of the fact that Obama has said he wants to get out of some of these places. Bush is forcing the Iraqi Government and other puppet governments to agree to allow US troops to stay in their countries for many years to come. Some of these contracts are intended to and will keep President Obama from readily installing new policies. Obama is not helping himself by some of the folk he has selected to advise him.
?President Bush is stinking up the place here at home big-time. He is transferring a lot of his hate and fear mongering appointees into civil service jobs so that President Elect Obama will not be able to remove them. Further, these folk will be operating just below President Obama's appointees to keep President Obama from effecting "change" as easily as he might have if he had all of the agencies on the same page.
?President Bush is stinking up the place by raiding the treasury to pay out money to abstinence only and anti choice organizations. Three million dollars was sent into Columbia South Carolina for an abstinence advocacy group even though Columbia does not have enough money to keep its public bus service going. He is putting restriction on monies going to other organizations that do not suit him. More importantly is the Bush intent to leave Obama with too little money for Obama to do the things he promised in his campaign.
?Bush got the 700 Billion dollars under false pretenses so that he could pay off all of his Wall Street cronies who supported him. The deal was apparently passed with Democratic help by agreeing to only take half and leave the other half for Democrats in 2009. Some of this money will certainly come back to Bush as "donations to build the Bush Library in Texas.
?President Bush is stinking up the place in the Congress and Senate by refusing to loan 25 billion dollars to the auto industry. This is the beginning of the Bush and the Republicans anti-organized labor fight that will haut the Obama Administration. Bush and the Republican Party fully support 700 billion dollars to Wall Street where more than 25 billion dollars in executive bonuses have been paid out of taxpayer money. Yet, they do not want to loan the auto industry 25 billion because these 3 million workers and saved jobs are not as important. One caveat, if Bush and the Republican Party could force the auto industry to shed the union labor, the Republicans would be happy.
?To end this on a brighter note,
President Obama will be, if he is not too much of a "Mr. Nice Guy," able
to reverse a lot of the Bush Executive Orders. President Obama will also be able
to reverse some of these stinking last minutes regulations that President Bush
is putting into EPA, NIH, HUD, and other agencies but all of this is time
consuming. Many of the Bush cronies will have dumped their sludge in our
drinking water, denied some worker's rights, sold some public land, and done
other things that will not be reversible. Let us hope that the corporate media
and others who are afraid to speak out now will investigate and tell the
American people the truth about these last minute actions by Bush after he
leaves office. If this happens we can begin to hope to get rid of more of the
fear and hate mongers in the next elections. The only thing that is better than
hope is action. We must stay active, stay informed, and stop letting this
corporate media feed us the crack of hate and division. We have to email, call,
and write CNN, Fox, ABC, NBC, and all the rest to let the propaganda spewing
corporate owned media know that we do not believe them anymore. Let them know we
want our country back NOW! Peace,
Cjw
