take a young woman to an "illegal abortionist" whose medical tools
included a wire coat hanger and dirty rags.
# 2. I do not want to ever again apply for a job
advertised
as "high school diploma required" and, while I had a
Master's degree, I did not get the job because my "degree
was not
in engineering."
#3. I do not want to ever again
have a seventeen years old
girl appear at my door and say, "my mama
told me to come
over here, get naked, and do whatever I have to
do
to get fifty dollars to send with my application to
college."
#4. I do not ever want to be referred to
as "my baby's
daddy."
#5. I do not want to ever
again see a mother give her nine
years old daughter condoms. The child
was ignorantly
boasting of having multiple sex partners per
day.
#6. I do not want to ever again walk into a
store without
enough money to buy a loaf of bread as I did at age
seven.
After I lost my nerves to steal the bread, I bought a
"nickel's worth of cookies" instead.
# 7. I do
not want to ever again have six televisions, a
satellite receiver, all
local stations, and still not be able
to receive an objective and
honest broadcast or newspaper.
#8. I do not want
to ever again have a girlfriend of six
years start to cry profusely
after each love making. She
said, "I will have to stop seeing you
because I promised my mother, before she died, that I would only date and
marry
a White man."
#9. I do not want to ever
again have a nineteen years old girl
tell me, after one of my speaking
engagements, that she is
HIV positive, pregnant, and ineligible for any
governmental
housing assistance because she has an arrest record for
having been caught with a "roach."
#10. I do
not want to ever again have to work three jobs to earn below poverty
living wages. My family fell apart while I
worked to try to get my
family out of poverty. |

for higher education!
Every child, mother, and father
deserves
the respect to be
called by name. Help families stay
families!

Please fight to stop racism
everywhere!
Please work to fight Aids and for
a
social safety net for all people!
Please fight for
living wages for workers!
