Spoon Mama of
1855 - 1926 arrived in South Carolina in 1880 as a
twenty-five-years-old woman with her fifteen-year-old
son. Her son, Gage Jackson, was fed with a spoon for so
long, they called him the Spoon Baby. They knew his
mother as Spoon Mama. Both, always preferred to eat with
a spoon even as adults. Most people are served with a spoon until they can manage to eat with other utensils. Thus, The Liberty Spoon Book because most of the contents is true, but some people will find it not easily digestible. We suggest that you take The Liberty Spoon Book slowly like eating from a baby spoon. Symbolically, in devotion and dedication, this book is dedicated to Spoon Mama and Spoon Baby. Spoon Mama and Spoon Baby were my great-grandmother and grandfather. Spoon Mama delivered her first child at age ten. Gods bless and rest her soul. |
